Well he"ll be 1 month old on Monday and so it'south time I finally got around to posting baby Anthony'south nativity story!
It's really such a strange feeling knowing for certain that this is our last baby. I sort of wanted to hold onto every moment of EVERYTHING. With the exception of course of hardly being able to walk the last 12 days without the worst vajay-jay pressure level ever. I could've done without that.
Babe Anthony's Nascency Story
I really went to the hospital Monday Baronial xiii thinking I was FOR SURE in labor. They hooked me upwardly, gave me an exam (holy f'ng painful) and watched me for a few hours. Null. Until that is, my blood pressure dropped, I was sweating profusely (nevertheless freezing) and and so…barfed everywhere 🙂 All for them to eventually tell me… NOPE – You're non in labor and we're sending you lot abode. FML.
And so – I went on with the horrible vajay pressure. At my side by side appt. 4 days subsequently (which was my 40 week appt.) my Dr. scheduled me to exist induced that Monday, August 20. I thought for certain I wouldn't brand information technology that far but low and behold… he was happy in at that place 🙂 I guess he merely wanted to add some excitement to our nativity story.
Nosotros were scheduled to be at the hospital at 5am that forenoon. I asked Mike to wake me up when his alarm went off. We made sure everything was packed and we went to bed.
Wouldn't y'all know I woke up to Mike frantically telling me "Laur, you gotta get up, information technology'southward iv:50 and I must have hit snooze on my alarm".
I can't even explain how I felt that forenoon! Were they going to send me home again because nosotros were going to be so late? NO! I need this baby OUT! I 've had this date planned in my head for days! UGH! I refused to choice upwardly the phone and instead made him telephone call because after all… HE was the one that f'd up.
Luckily we were all good and they said just go here as shortly every bit you tin can. And luckily, we live 5 minutes from the hospital. I could let Mike live – but will never let him alive it down 🙂 I keep telling him he but had TWO jobs this whole time. I was to get my pregnant and the other was to become me to the damn hospital. Men!
We got to the hospital around v:30am and I was brought to my room. I wasn't nervous at all. Maybe considering I've already had 2 kids or perchance because I was just then anxious to meet him. Plus, I knew I was getting an epidural and I've two great labor and delivery experiences with i earlier.
The nurses got me all hooked up and started the pitocin around half dozen:00-half dozen:30am. My contractions were never really terrible only to exist safe I got my epidural around 6 centimeters so that I didn't run the chance of not being able to get 1. If in that location was anything I was a fleck nervous most, it was getting the epidural. I'm happy to say it was less scary and so the first two times. Or maybe I just had a better anesthesiologist?
I'grand happy to say that my labor was then enjoyable. I just relaxed, ate some Italian water ice and shopped on my phone LOL. The nurses checked me every few hours and slowly but surely I fabricated progress each time. Past 2:05 pm I was ready to push button.
This might audio actually foreign but I Really bask delivering. My eyes were closed for about xc% of it and I was just enjoying the moment thinking about how we were going to encounter our newest family fellow member any 2nd. The only affair I did tell the nurses and Drs. in between pushes was that I could totally push harder and become him out faster but… I didn't want to poop. True story.
And for those of you wondering…No, I didn't lol.
Nosotros were 100% expecting another cute little 6 or vii pounder but couldn't have been more wrong! He started coming out and the nurses were like "He is a large baby… we think he's going to be over 9 pounds" I didn't believe them one bit, peculiarly since I didn't gain much weight during the pregnancy. I couldn't look for him to come out so we could come across. I pushed 5 times and by 2:12pm he was here… all 9 pounds and half dozen ounces of him. Holy moo-cow. And no.. I somehow didn't tear. I will chalk that upwards to this babe our third baby!
I'grand thankful to say that my experience was even so again another amazing ane. I feel blest to accept iii beautiful, healthy children and can't imagine our life at present without baby Anthony! He definitely completes our family.
I can't wrap up this post without giving a few very important give thanks you lot. My parents and Mike'due south parents both helped with our older two and really took some stress away from us by doing so. Thank y'all so much for your support and for making this journey such a great one.
